This quilt is new in my Studio Store. It is a lap quilt that measures 54×72 inches. It is machine pieced and machine quilted on a long arm. It is based on the “spice drop pattern” by Villa Rosa Designs.
The fabric on the back is a book shelf print featuring cats and cat book titles. There is a hanging sleeve on the back , and a label that documents the quilt. I signed it on the front.
All you need now is a good book and a cup of hot chocolate. What are you reading?
Sometimes you just want to work in a certain color. I love the colors in Autumn’s Splendor. It is a happy quilt. It invokes that feeling you get when you step outside, look up at a perfect blue sky, smell the crispness in the air, and you know it is going to be a perfect day.
Autumn’sSplendor can be a lap quilt, but I prefer to hang it. It measures 54×72 inches. There is a hanging sleeve on the back and a label that documents the quilt. The fabric on the back is a green metallic leaf print to carry out the theme of the quilt.
The pattern is in Kaffe Fassett’s book Shots and Stripes. The fabric is from his plaid collection.
I haven’t decided if this quilt is for sale. I think I want to let it make me happy for a while. ?
Sometime you just want to sit and sew. When that feeling hits and you don’t want to think about complicated patterns, math and geometric angles, make a super simple quilt.
Twelve big squares of beautiful fabrics make Ugly Ducklings Turn Into Swans look like a traditional sampler quilt. The pattern is from the book “Material Obsession” by Kathy Doughty. Because it is such a simple quilt, I thought it would be an ugly quilt. I was wrong! After it was finished, I loved it and instantly named it Ugly Ducklings Turn into Swans”!
This quilt measures 65×85 inches, so it is big. It is machine pieced and quilted. There is a hanging sleeve in the back because I display all of my quilts sooner or later, but this quilt is definitely big enough to cuddle up under. The fabric on the back is a pink and gold African print.
A label on the back documents the quilt. I signed it on the front.
