Waiting For the Super Bowl Inspires New Quilts

Give Yourself Thoughtful Flowers being quilted

Sunday was truly a holiday in Atlanta. Everyone stopped everything to watch the Super Bowl. Since the actual game did not air until 6:30 p.m. , I had some super sweet time in my studio.

Here are two quilts in progress.  I like to work on several things at once. Do you?

Atlanta did not win the game, but it was a super day.

Coffee With Cream Please

Coffee With Cream Please, 64 x 76 inches, by O.V. Brantley, 2010.

After an unexpected horrible Super Bowl loss by my Atlanta Falcons, the entire city of Atlanta is hung over. No one wanted to go to work, but duty called. Nothing to do but commiserate over coffee in the break room.

Coffee With Cream Please  is the perfect quilt for this imperfect day.

So today I am sharing my favorite star quilt.  I named it Jazzy Stars.
